More than 60,000 trade visitors at VSK 2006

60,795 trade visitors at the trade fair for heating, sanitary engineering, climate control and refrigeration technology made VSK 2006 a huge success. They jointly made 851,000 visits to stands. The majority of visitors (58%) took decisions regarding investments. The visitors were more than satisfied with the exhibition programme. Nine out of ten (88%) rated completeness of the range offered as ‘good’ and ‘excellent’. Visitors, a quarter of who have investment plans, awarded VSK 2006 a rating of 7.5 as shown by figures from a survey carried out by VNU Exhibitions amongst the trade visitors.

The trade fair for heating, sanitary engineering, climate control and refrigeration technology was held from Monday 30 January to Friday 5 February 2006 in the Jaarbeurs complex, Utrecht.  

Project Manager Aart Wisgerhof considers the opinions of the 500 exhibitors equally as important as the figure awarded by visitors. “They are all very pleased with the VSK. Many contacts were made, and business was excellent. Feelings about the trade fair are more than positive. Right from the opening day, all exhibitors had their work cut out to welcome the many visitors to their stands. Whereas two years ago exhibitors rated the trade fair with a 7.1, this year they rated their participation with a 7.4.”  

Exceeding expectations
Keeping up to date with new developments was the main motivation to visit Utrecht for the majority of the visitors (81%. Making new contacts or intensifying existing contacts ended in second place, with 57%. Nine out of ten visitors stated that the trade fair more than exceeded their expectations. The sectors heating (74%), sanitary engineering (55%) and climate control (37%) had the visitors’ greatest interest. Visitors included representatives from the technical installation sector, construction and building industry, technical engineers, energy providers and national and local authorities.

The VSK has a band of devoted fans. More than three quarters (77%) of the visitors had already attended previous editions of the trade event. Compared to previous editions, the number of ‘new’ visitors has risen. Visitors appear to be so satisfied by the VSK in all respects that eight out of ten (83%) have already indicated their intention to attend the event in 2008.  

On the closing day of the event the Visitor Marketing Awards were presented to four exhibitors. NEFIT and VEGRO received an Award thanks to their outstanding campaign which gave them the highest number of pre-registered visitors under their name. Hazal Pijpbeugels and both received an Award for the highest number of pre-registrations per square metre of stand space.  

The consumer show for sanitary equipment and bathrooms 'Baden in Holland' held on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February attracted 10,541 visitors.
